About
Most sushi counters go one of two ways: stark white minimalism, or loud and neon. We wanted something in between — a room that felt closer to a good cocktail lounge than a restaurant.
That meant reclaimed oak instead of lacquered white. Low brass pendant lights instead of fluorescent strips. Candles on every table, even at the counter. The fish gets the same care you'd find anywhere serious about sushi — we just didn't want the room to announce it.
The open kitchen sits at the centre of the room on purpose.
Order tickets run along a rail above the pass — the same detail that ended up shaping how we designed everything else here, down to the dividers on this page. It's a small thing, but it's the kind of detail that tells you someone thought about the space, not just the food.
Walk-ins are always welcome at the bar. For a table, we'd suggest booking ahead — especially Friday and Saturday.
